How do I add a printer to my computer?
Overview
So. You're doing your work, and all of a sudden, all you see is 'Microsoft Print to PDF'. But you need to print a hard-copy of your grade sheet! Don't fret, we'll show you how to get your printer added to your computer for worry-free copying.
Step One: Our Friend Johnathan
Run the command \\johnathan by clicking the Windows key (
), and then typing \\johnathan.
Click "Run Command", and you should see every printer on campus pop up.
Connect to the one you're looking for, and then exit out of these windows.

(Hint: Our naming convention goes 'BuildingRoom-PrinterType'. So AL210-MPC307 is Agard-Lovinggood Room 210, with a MPC307 printer.)
Step Two: Printers Menu
Press the Windows key again (
), and type "Printers".
An option should appear named 'Printers and Scanners'.
Click it!

Step Three: Find Your Printer
You're going to see a list appear once it refreshes.
All HTU printers are labeled by the building and room.
Click 'Manage' on your printer, and set it as your default.

Step Four: Refresh
If you have it open, close the Print screen of what you were trying to print and reopen it.
It has to refresh to appear in the printer list on those screens.

That's it! That's how you print inside Huston-Tillotson University.
You can retrieve the name of certain printers by walking up to them and looking at the model(usually starts with IMC, or IM, and then a set of numbers). Also think about what room and building they're in.
Happy printing!
