SMO 15217 - Quarterly Financial Module Updates
NEW FEATURES/ENHANCEMENTS:
1) Feature: (CX-56146)
The unused, obsolete TIAA reports on the CX HR/Payroll menu needs
to be removed from the menu. The initial step for removing these
reports is to hide them on the menu. In order to do this, the
macro 'ENABLE_HR_TIAA_RPTG' was added with a default value of 'N'.
Benefits/Who:
This allows unused/unwanted menu TIAA reporting options to be
removed from the menu.
2) Feature: (CX-56028)
The "Add" button on the Payroll Management screen should only
appear when the most recent payroll number for the given payroll
code has a 'C'ompleted status.
Benefits/Who:
The processing of payrolls via the Payroll Management screen
should properly allow the user to establish subsequent payrolls.
3) Feature: (CX-54642)
The "1098-T Exceptions" report was reformatted to provide a
better alignment between the report headers and the related
reported data.
Benefits/Who:
Reports are meant to be clear and concise to the best of
their ability. The new header alignment should help the
"1098-T Exceptions" report in that regard.
4) Feature: (CX-56366)
For many HR/Payroll reports, SMO 15205 introduced a "Use Legal
Name" parameter; however, the on-screen comment in the menu option
for each of these parameters was not complete. The comment requires
appended "(Y/N)" parameter answer choices. These comment choices
are now in place in the affected menu options.
Benefits/Who:
Having complete and consistent parameter comments are important
to the look and feel in the presentation of the reporting menu
options.
5) Feature: (CX-55080)
The CX 8.1 HR/Payroll "Processing" sub-menu is now repositioned
below the "Payroll" sub-menu in the menu tree.
Benefits/Who:
The repositioning of the "Processing" sub-menu provides a more
logical workflow in the order of how the HR/Payroll sub-menu(s)
would typically be accessed.
6) Feature: (CX-53750)
Phone number fields were removed from several financial module
screens where they were deemed unnecessary.
Benefits/Who:
Since the phone numbers are not necessary for the affected screens,
instead of making changes to incorporate a country phone prefix,
the phone numbers themselves were removed.
7) Feature: (CX-54633)
In an ongoing effort to improve the CX10 Help documentation,
there are updated URL links in the 1098-T processing area.
Benefits/Who:
Helpful CX10 documentation for 1098-T processing is important
for completing this annual Federal reporting task. Having help
documentation for 1098-T is no exception.
8) Feature: (CX-55035)
The international phone prefix has been added to the following
HR/Payroll Employee reports:
Emergency Contacts Report
Employee Address Report
Benefits/Who:
SMO 15198 added the international phone prefix to the Jenzabar CX
system. This change completes that update in the HR/Payroll
area.
9) Feature: (CX-54651)
Documentation updates have been made and the URLs included in
menu options for the following:
"Print Forms 1098-T"
"1098-T Record Report w/ Amts"
"1098-T Exceptions Report"
"1098-T Electronic Delivery Report"
Benefits/Who:
This updated documentation benefits those institutions using the
Form 1098-T process.
