Using Zoom in Canvas
Dr. Miles handles assigning Zoom accounts.
Once professor has personal Zoom ID:
for each class in Canvas, they must add Zoom to side bar:
a. Click on Settings
b. Click on Navigation at top bar
c. move Zoom from lower box to upper box
d. Save
Add Zoom meeting(s) to class calendar
a. open class calendar, click on day to open meeting
b. add title (Zoom), time, and click on More Options
c. paste personal Zoom ID in notes, as well as any info to students ("make sure you have read Chapter 2 before class")
d. click on Duplicate to repeat Zoom meeting every day or week (you may have to make 1 for every Monday, and then 1 for every Wednesday, etc)
e. Make Event.
Then people can go to calendar, open meeting, click on Zoom link. Sometimes connect using browser is the better option.
